How to 'Text Customizer'
So there is a new text module, the ‘Text Customizer’! This module will allow you to change different preset tabs and buttons on your platform such as ‘Assembly’, ‘Process’, ‘Proposal’ this also includes changing words for better translations on our platforms.
You can find it here:
So there’s a phrase or word you want to change on your platform. Click the Term Customizer, then click ‘New Translation Set’
You will then have to fill out the following:
Name - this refers to the name you are giving to this action. Simply typing what you want to change in this box will not change anything on the website.
Constraint - please pay special attention to this, constraint refers to where you want to make this change on the platform, in what process or assembly etc.
For example: Here we changed the word ‘Debate’ to ‘Discussion’ in a specific component of a participatory process.
Click ‘Create’ to make your translation set
Now you will need to click ‘Add Multiple’ to select the instances of where you want to the phrase or word to be changed.
Search the term you want to change. Select all that appear in the list except for anything prefaced with a % for example %{debate} when you search your term you want to change. Then click ‘Add’
The terms will then appear in a list.
You will then have to click on the pencil to customize each instance of the term.
When you click on the pencil it should take you here:
Then click 'Save' to change the term on the platform and then refresh to check on your website if your term has been changed on your platform.
