A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
Let's launch a progressive engagement strategy for partners to start to use and feel the platform!
What is the ´Progressive Engagement Phase´?
Through this phase you will have the opportunity to test, understand and learn the platform by hearth. You will put yourself in a place of participant (USER) thus understand what is expected from the target group we seek to reach. In other words: we will test the actions so that we can understand them and finally launch them publicly for CHLabs.
Even though it is the first exercise to interact with the platform, it will serve us to learn more about the expectations on what we would like to see on this platform. Some sections will seem familiar since we have tried to repeat the exercise, we did during the Consortium Meeting in Barcelona, however this time in a digital form. Do you remember this dynamic ´How participatory can you get?
What is expected from OH partners?
In the following 6 months each one of us will receive brief tasks that aim this very objective explained above (tasks or actions will mostly be related to completing the components that you already learned about while at the consortium meeting workshop: surveys, debates, meetings…). There are six tasks to complete as the image shows, (you can also see each of the 6 STEPS or tasks here).
