Fostering social sustainability UBER
Social sustainability recognizes the significance and diversity of community and regions for the management of the earth, and the critical importance of ‘sense of place’ and heritage which include the buildings, townscapes, landscapes and immaterial culture in any plans for the future. A “sense of place” and cultural identity based on heritage are seen as a major component of quality of life and provide a sense of belonging. These are key aspects in ensuring social well-being and collaboration for the common good.
